Today is fresh for AMSRS Leadership

A brand new day for AMSRS National Council

Within market and social research, why do we work tirelessly to fill quotas, uncover hidden truths, deliver stories, predict marginal seats, hit deadlines and deliver to stakeholders? It occurs to me that we have a strong personal attachment to the profession of research and so we want to get it right. We are surrounded by peers in this profession who simply love research. So let’s keep it strong together and continue to develop and encourage talent and innovation.

Today in Sydney, the new AMSRS National Council that was elected for 2010-2012 at the ‘packed’ AGM in Melbourne on 9 September 2010 meet together for the first time. I would like to officially welcome the new National Council members to our board: Szymon Duniec (vice president), Mike Beder (NSW chair), Arry Tanusondjaja (SA chair) and Derryn Belford (WA chair). I look forward to working with you to deliver the AMSRS Strategic Plan over the next two-year period.

Our committees in Queensland and South Australia have also had a good boost of new talent so thanks for putting up your hand to improve what we do.

I am looking forward to our brand new day!
